Board Meeting Notes:

At the Board Meeting held on April 20th, the Board did vote on one upcoming project that must be completed.
The pool grate at the bottom of the pool must be replaced per the Florida Department of Health. This must be
completed by a Licensed Pool Contractor. At this time, the expense is unknown.
The 50 & 60’s Sock Hop was a great success with lots of Dancing & Fun. Do not miss the second annual Sock
Hop in April of 2017. Thanks to all who helped in making the Sock Hop a success.
The Board would like to express many thanks and its deep appreciation to all the volunteers that have helped
with the beautification project. You have made a difference in the appearance of our village. THANK YOU!!!
The Board did approve the clean-up of the trees around the pond and would like to thank Ron Sweeney for a job
well done along with Blair Handley, Gary & Dolly Osterhout and Roland Carter.
Director Gary Raulerson resigned from the Board. We all would like to thank him for all his hard work and
contributions he has made over the years to our village.
New Committee – Helping Hands – chaired by Beverly Herzog with help from Helen Tacone. This committee
was formed to help residents who are in need. (ex: food, cooked meals, transportation and shopping). If you or
if you know of a resident in need, please call Beverly at 321-720- 0896.
Village News & Reminders:
We still have some of our residents that are behind with their monthly HOA fees. A kind letter will be sent to
any resident that is 2 or more months behind. Please do your best to keep up with your dues as we need this
cash flow to operate San Mateo Village properly. Also, be sure you have paid your yearly HOA
membership dues of $20.00, if you are unsure, please call Lorna Ghioto, 264-3325.
The new background form has been developed. It is mandatory that before anyone purchases a home in San
Mateo Village they must complete a background check at their cost of $100.00 (non-refundable). They will
then meet with the Board to get the final approval to reside here.
Beautification Committee continuing and is asking for your help with any time you would like to donate.
Projects still left to do are mulch around the pool, painting car stoppers in the parking lot, repair and rebuilding
of the benches. Please contact Terry Murray, 917-4823.
Gary Smith, Compliance reports: The winners for May, San Mateo Village Home of the Month, Lee & Marty
Hedrick of 5008 Santa Christina Ave. They will receive a $25.00 gift certificate. Each month a home will be
chosen for all around best condition of the exterior, yard, plants, shrubs, sidewalks and driveway.
This is mosquito season, please take the time to walk around your homes and get rid of all standing water.

NOTICE TO ALL HOMEOWNERS AND RENTERS:
Our new Board has decided to enforce an old (but never implemented) rule concerning home ownership in San Mateo Village.  New residents must complete a background check and submit it for board approval before taking occupancy of a home.  The cost is $100.00 (nonrefundable) and you can obtain the information on this procedure by calling on of the following Board members; President, Terry Murray – 1st Vice President, Phillis Hemmer –
or Secretary, Marsh Clayton – .
To update our resident information, we are asking each homeowner to complete the affidavit featured below.  We need your name, address, age and the same information for any relative, significant other or caretaker living in your home.  Please detach the following notice and include it in your monthly maintenance fee and drop it in the Clubhouse box or mail it to our current address — 5205 Sisson Road, Titusville, FL  32780.  This is very important.  Thank you for your co-operation.
